Lessons from 2007

FIRST a friendly reminder: BACK UP YOUR PICTURES FROM YOUR COMPUTER. Don't wait, don't plan to, pick out some time and DO it. Think of how depressed you will be if you lose everything. Think how more depressed you will be and I find out. There will be no sympathy. This is your reminder.... DO IT!

At the end of a year I don't really try to make new years resolutions but try and figure out what I learned that year. So for 2007 the things I learned are:

1) If you take 2 regular Oreos and pull off a cookie side on each one - put them together, it is really close to a double stuffed oreo.

2) My kids are hysterical. I already knew this but I learned how deep there humor is running.... I was thinking of the 4 of us going on the "Edge of Stupid" Comedy tour.

3) I am now old enough where college age girls look up to me as a mentor. This is really.... um.... Scary. I am giving advice to college kids! Be afraid, be very afraid.

4) I have a friend that will refuse to get a pedicure in a place with a Budda shrine but is okeydokey with a place full of short, non-english speaking people! She is also a little leary of turning in front of oncoming traffic.

5) TAKE LUCK (some of you will understand that,,, some of you won't - those that don't, let me know I will fill you in on the joke)

6) 39 is a good age. I think I will stay there.

7) Sometimes a closed mouth is more effective than an open one when dealing with a tweenager.

8) You can do more with photoshop than just crop.

9) You can still have strength when having loss. Thank you Yezak family.

10) Your kids can be proud of you.

Go on tour...I will personally help you come with material for the Edge of Stupid.....I have two particular incidents in mind involving a strainer and macaroni and a tweenager and some hot chicken tenders out of the oven....I will explain when you run out of material on the road:)
