Mexican Truth

I lived a decade in El Paso. Was educated in the high school there and learned a bunch about the Mexican culture. One thing I had forgot is the deep seeded love that the Mexican's have developed for Texas and America. While we were visiting during thanksgiving we went to the El Paso Parade. These hispanic riders carried the flags while a song played... Viva Mi Mexico, Viva Mi America. Mi Amor Mexico y Mi amor America. Mi Coresone es grande con ....
Okay, my spanish is a bit rusty but basically the song went "Rule my Mexico, Rule My America, My love Mexico, my love America. My heart is greatly filled with pride for my countries. I find my place in Texas
where my grandfather rode..."
The Mexicans are filled with national pride that I don't see from our country unless there is a disaster. I had forgotten that. I am glad I remember.
