Perspective

One thing I HATE to talk about is politics.  Luckily, my husband can carry on a political conversation with the radio, TV or newpaper for hours and not require my direct involvement with the exceptions of a few "Uh Huh' and a "Oh, I know." here and there to give the delusion of participation.  I have learned that all the calling, letter writing and ranting in the world falls on non-existent ears.  The political system is so corrupt, putting energy into it is like putting a paint job on a 1972 Vega that is missing the engine.   It may make you feel better but you still aren't going to go anywhere useful.

I was reading a friend's blog that had a cartoon that read "Politics is like driving.  The D takes you forward and the R takes you backwards".
But neither do you a bit of good if you don't know where you are going. That is what is wrong with our country.   We have no unified direction.  Everyone is out for themselves.  Me Me Me Mine Me Mine.  Do I think Obama is the solution?  NO.  Do I think McCain is the solution? Not really.   Do I think the bird flu is the solution?  Well, it is better than anything else being presented at the voting booth.

I know God is in control.  I know He has a plan.  I know I am preparing my children to stand up for their beliefs.  I will pray for our President, no matter who he is, because Romans 13:1-7 tells me that every person should obey the government in power. No government would exist if it hadn't been established by God. The governments which exist have been put in place by God.

I keep my faith in God.  I prepare my family.  I pray for my Country.
God Bless America!

Sometimes God allows really bad leaders to come into power to knock us on our butts and look to Him....the one true King!
