"It's not a common procedure, but now fish pedicures in Texas are illegal. During the pedicure, a customer places his or her feet in a footbath allowing fish to eat dead skin cells their feet. So here are my questions? 1) What is the punishment if you get one in Texas? 2) Why was this attractive to someone in the first place? Most women would run screaming from the lake if they stuck their feet in and something started nomming on them! 3) This was a common enough practice with documented adverse effects we needed to OUTLAW it? How many local businesses and people did this new law really affect? 4) Couldn't they have given the fish a tick tack or something between people? 5) Who thought this up in the first place? 6) How much does a pedi-nibble cost? 7) Does anybody else feel that this be considered cruel to the FISH? |

The answer to No. 1 is: The offender has to nibble dead skin off the fish's feet.
And that could take YEARS waiting for the fish to evolve enough to have feet!
LOL! Who was the anonymous comment above!? hilarious!
OK, just remember that they made this law because someone messed up. Someone had the idea to make this work. I have to say- if it made my feet silky smooth and didnt hurt, too much, I would do it! ;0 (but, what do your feet smell like afterwards- fish breath?! eeeewww...)
After the nibbling is done, Do they rub your feet down with tartar sauce?
eeeewwwww
Hey...who is up for a pedicure now!??!! Thanks Tracy :)
