Not enough showers...

Okay, so I was at church with some friends and I was looking at a sweet little baby who started choking. As I yelled for her mom, I walked toward her... I didn't know what she was choking on, my hands were filthy and I didn't want to stick my finger in her mouth with her mother standing there but she was definatly having an issue. All turned out well, it is apparently a common occurance but scared the tar out of me. I hate choking. I can stop bleeding, I can deal with vomit, but don't stop breathing on me.

SO THEN... My son gets in the car after full pad football practice and we are talking and I said...
Me: How was you day?
J response: "I don't know".
Me: What do you mean you DONT KNOW?
J: Don't remember much.
Me: Do you still have a headache?
J: Yea, it's killing me

John fell out of a tree the night before and had 2 branches and the ground hit him on the temple of his head. He complained of pain and a headache that night but it always sooooo much drama with the boy, I thought he was just going Hollywood on me. This morning he complained of a headache but we equated it to the fact he hadn't eaten breakfast. Don't I feel stupid.
BTW: Hot showers with a concussion is a bad bad thing. It will increase the intercranial bleeding causing additional swelling and pressure. They can loose conciousness and hit their head again.

So things come in three. ...
I was emptying the trash and there was this lid to a tuna fish can, I cut the tar out of my finger. Bled all over the place, but remember,,, I can handle blood. I pressed the laceration ends together and superglued it closed.

I am going to go take a shower, cuz I don't have a concussion.

I burned my arm with my flatiron last weekend. (I was only about 2 feet off from my target.) Wanna see it?

Sorry she scared you. That is actually the first time she has done that to me, but for some reason it didnt alarm me much. Guess its that mommy intuition. She did however choke in the nursery the day before so no more snacks for her when I am not around (for awhile anyway :)
I appreciated your concern!
