The No Hitter, The Nail in the Board & The New House

Crazy day....

John threw a no-hitter.

Zach had to go to the ER to get a board with a nail that went through his finger.

We spent the night in our new house.

They did an article in the newspaper.... Even spelled his name right and everything!

Bryan Harvey cruises past Bastrop
By JERRY WAGGONER Special to The Eagle
Fireballing left-hander John Gillett tossed a no-hitter, drove in a pair of runs with a double and received good support from his Bryan Harvey teammates in a 10-0 victory over Bastrop in the first round of the 10- and 11-year-old Little League sectional playoffs Friday night at Bob Bond Park.
Gillett struck out seven in the four-inning game halted by the 10-run rule. Harvey will take on Austin Northwest at 8 p.m. Saturday at Bob Bond Park. Austin Northwest drew a bye in the first round.
Dylan Godfrey walked to open the game for Harvey, and C.J. Sullivan reached on a fielder's choice. After Holt Van Etten grounded out to first to advance both runners, Gillett lined a double down the third-base line for all the runs he needed.
Harvey picked up two more in the third. Sullivan reached on an error, and after one out, Gillett reached on a fielder's choice. Mitch Holt then ripped a two-run double to center field.
In the fourth, Harvey's Trevor Russ led off with a double to left center. Ryan Greenwood singled in one run, and losing pitcher Gatlin Knebel was replaced by third baseman Cameron Barron.
Barron struck out the first batter he faced, but Sullivan blasted a three-run homer to left for a 7-0 lead. Van Etten and Gillett each singled and scored on Brice Pendergaff's single up the middle. Holt reached when Barron hit him with a pitch. Then Russ, batting for the second time in the inning, reached on an error, and Holt scored the 10th run.
The only ball hit out of the infield by Bastrop was by the game's first batter, Jake Dixon, who flied out to center.
