God and Country

At the beginning of little league in March at opening ceremonies I am always excited because we open the season with a focus on the American flag, a prayer and the little league pledge

The Little League Pledge
I trust in God

I love my country

And will respect its laws

I will play fair

And strive to win

But win or lose

I will always do my best

At closing ceremonies, we sing the national anthem, say a prayer and award those for excellence.

Something stirs in me when I am at a open forum and we can still proclaim God and Country!
