Candis

The family curse continues with Candis. By 1966 Candy had already been married and divorced twice. She hated El Paso and got out as quick as she could. Her brother, Patrick was living out in California and her sister Susan was still living in El Paso with her parents. The 60s were all about peace, love and rock and roll. Candy did it all ~ She continued the family profession and made her living working at an office for Steak and Ale. She met this man at work with clear blue eyes and they were soon married. There was just one small glitch that she would find out about in 1969.... he never got a divorce from his second wife in Fort Worth. In '68, Candy and Bob had a baby Girl, Tracy. They didn't slow down on living out the 60s. In 69, When Candy found out that Bob was still married, she divorced him and went to California with Tracy to stay with her brother, Patrick. It didn't last long because she returned to Houston a couple months later. The "life in the fast lane" life continued for Bob and Candy until 1973 when Candy was shot and killed. The official police report remains unsolved. They suspected Bob but were unable to pursue the case further when they discovered he had inoperatiable throat cancer and would be dead within 10 months.

So is that your birth mom??? The resemblance is shocking! This is so fascinating! I wish I had time and the brains to figure out my history like you have. AMAZING! Thanks for sharing!

Weird...I was thinking the girl in the picture was you but it was too old.....
I never get juicy stuff like this out of my family. All I know from my grandfather was that he was in the KKK...ugh..
Oh, and that my grandmother was the prettiest girl in the county. That is it.
