Public Announcement

I was in a store today that will go un-named... Lets just say it rhymes with "Margret" and was snooping through the sale items. There was a huge section of what COULD HAVE been very cute clothing but with one thing wrong.... So I would like to give a HINT to the clothing industry-
Today's Mom's do not want to dress their children with clothing that has SKULLS on it. I don't care if the put a cute little bow in the SKULLS nonexistant hair..... Don't put SKULLS on children's clothing. We are not raising a pack of goth wannabes or emos. They are kids. The pink PJs are from THE GAP - How in the world do you expect my kid to doze off to sleep in her skull laiden pjs? To give it more effect I bet the skulls glow in the dark. They are going to have to write a whole new psychology chapter on diagnosis and treatment of terrorized children.

CONVERSE SHOES:

Pure attitude in a skull print design.
With these Chuck Taylor Hi-Tops, your kids can step out in style with shoes that really rock.
Get the shoes, get the look. Order today!

Nothing says fashion like motivating your kids toward rebellion!

The Gap also carries the matching socks and underwear.

So here it is in terms maybe the Clothing industry will understand.

I AM NOT GOING TO BUY CLOTHING, SOCKS, UNDERWEAR, HATS, GLOVES, SHIRTS OR ACCESSORIES FOR MY CHILDREN WITH SKULLS ON THEM - ever. I WILL KEEP MY MONEY. YOU NO GET MY MONEY IF YOU KEEP ADORNING THE CLOTHING WITH SKULLS.

CUTE = MONEY

SKULLS = NO MONEY/CLEARANCE RACK

I will now dismount my soap box.

ADDENDUM: This lovely addition was in a local store that rhymes with "SMELLS"....John likes the green one at the bottom. He offered to model it and we had one of those "OVER MY DEAD BODY" discussions

AMEN!AMEN!AMEN!
You don't know how many times, probably a day, we have this discussion with our 8 yr. old.......who thinks it's cool!!!!! UGH!!!! Makes me soooo mad!!! Perhaps he thinks/says that and asks for the gosh forsaken stuff JUST b/c he knows that his dad and I don't like!! Guess I should stop showing that his opinion of it bothers me! Doesn't help when he sees older kids in the stuff at church (not to judge any of those parents!)but, doesn't help when we're telling him, "The 'cool' kids are the ones that love Jesus and go to church!". Can you love Jesus and wear skulls....this could start a whole new debate!
I can just see my little girl in those pj's! Yikes!!
Send this to the companies!! I'll sign off on it too!!
