I attended the Brazos Christian Christmas play this morning. John was the Angel Gabriel. He was given this role only after a 4th grader refused to where a "dress" and didn't know any of his lines on Friday. We were given John's costume two days before the play. It didn't fit, there was a huge tear in it and it was stained. So off to hobby lobby I go to get fabric to run through the sewing machine. See how I was very careful to NOT say that I sewed it. There is no pattern, there are very few pins, just me cutting and throwing it into the machine. John was wonderful. He has a real gift for memorization, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. I got to walk around and tell everyone ... "MY child is an Angel!"
John changed out of the angel suit to join his class and I was dawning the angel hat. Someone asked me if I earned the halo... I responded "Nope, ripped it off someones head!"
Co had to put up with over an hour of costumes and me taking pictures so she was less than cooperative when it came time for me to focus on her. She may think she has the last laugh with acting up like this... but wait until her 16th birthday, or graduation or her wedding... I am sooooo saving these pictures.
Sparky was the shepard. I was behind my camera just snapping away when I heard someone say his line in a low voice. Who was that? It WAS Zach. He sounds good with a deep voice. He could announce a sporting event or something. I do have to get him not to speak slower. He had a couple funny lines and went over them so quickly that no one could respond.
